Biography
I have a Master and a Ph.D in linguistics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil. I am a member of the research group Language, Society, Health and Labor, at UFPE. Currently, I am concerned with understanding how gender studies might be helpful in dealing with contemporary political challenges in Brazil, especially how authoritarianism can undermine the politics of equality in terms of gender, class, race, and sexuality, and stimulate increasing intolerance.
